In just a few days time, Mammal Strength will be gearing up to take on Battle Cancer Manchester, an incredible organisation with one clear motive: to kick cancer into the dust. 

Along with their events raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for cancer charities across the UK, Battle Cancer has also launched the @battlecancerprogram which currently provides free fitness programming, tailored to those post-cancer treatment.

This year, we’ll be sending a team of four amazing athletes over to Manchester to participate in four gruelling Crossfit workouts to raise funds for @solvingkidscancer, a specialist neuroblastoma charity that provides help and support to families throughout treatment, whilst also continuously pushing for more research into this disease. 

This rare but very aggressive form of cancer affects around 100 children each year in the UK, with the majority of these being under the age of 5. 

Meet Bibi, a very special girl who has been suffering with neuroblastoma from the age of 2. 

‘At two and a half, Beatriz suddenly became very clingy and unhappy. Her parents thought it was just a phase. But she was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma, an aggressive childhood cancer that has a 40-50% chance of long-term survival. Her family are raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for further treatment, either to get their daughter into remission or to try and keep cancer away if treatment does go to plan’
