A quick guide to taping your thumbs like Commonwealth Silver Medallist Jess Gordon Brown!
Step 1:
Make sure to wash your hands of any chalk or sweat. Make sure they are fully dry before applying the tape.
Step 2:
Start by applying the tape to the base of your thumb, make sure to rub it down so that it stays in place during your workout
Step 3:
Continue applying the tape around the thumb moving up towards the nail, 2- 3 layers work best. Make sure to pull it tight but not too tight
Step 4:
Rip off the tape and push the end down into the tape already on the thumb. For best results make sure to secure the tape on the outside of the thumb so the end won't get disturbed by the barbell.
